I shoot with a Canon 5D3 and 7D2, and I needed an external monitor for dance recital events (where my cameras are stationary for extended periods of time). I didn't think I could find a quality monitor under $400, so I am thoroughly impressed with this purchase. Sure, it's not a full 1080 monitor (this model is 720, and I know Feelworld has a higher resolution monitor available), but my needs are for framing and focusing, and this monitor works perfectly for those two purposes. I used a single NP-770 battery for the entire 3 hour shoot last weekend (although I brought two additional batteries, just in case). I only wish the monitor had some sort of battery-level indicator.... so I can gauge how much juice is left. But for the price, this is great. Fit/finish/construction of this monitor are good. One thing I noticed is that with the 7D2, I can get a clean HDMI signal (of course, I can add the camera setting overlays if desired). But with the 5D2, the clean HDMI signal is a lower-resolution version (with the overlay version being a full-resolution signal). Not a huge issue, as I like the overlay text so I can see my settings quickly. But just wanted to throw this out there in case this is an issue for someone else. Not an issue with the monitor... this is inherent in the firmware for my particular cameras. The monitor will display whatever signal is coming from the source. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase, and it will be coming with me on every future dance recital shoot. B&H, as usual, is awesome and shipped this item super quick.
the display is prone to turn itself off by a loose power cable .. this may be the fault of the adapter i was able to find to power the unit .. please note the unit does not ship with a power adapter. on the back there is a socket for a sony s f970 battery and this might prove to be essential if you do not want the display shutting off on you at an inopportune moment. it is not super bright but it is a clear reasonably sharp image. the velcro attachable glare shield does provide a much needed blocker of the sun etc .. it works pretty good for that even in bright sunlight i could actually see the image where on the camera i would have to be using the force to have any chance of reading what was coming through the lens.
This is a nice monitor, it does as expected, very affordable and lightweight. Consumes battery (sony) good enough however it's not great for outdoor use.
This is good camera monitor for vlogging/selfies with the Sony.
Bought this to test it out after using Ikan and Small HD products. Could not believe the quality for the cost. Quality is decent and you can buy a few more as spares and still be ahead of the game if you have any concerns. My only beef is that there's no HDMI loop through - for that you have to spend more money and step up to their next model. And I don't like that the LED power status turns red when the power is off. Even the red LED uses a small amount of power. When I'm in the field off should be OFF.Uses inexpensive Sony NFP compatible batteries. I'd definitely recommend and even buy more myself. We've had ours for over a year and out on countless shoots. Still perfect.
Great screen beautifulpicture all i could of asked for in one small package
I used it for the first time to film a performance with a Sony CX 900 and it made it much simpler to focus, image was sharp on screen.
We just mounted and shot with our new Monitor and it is justgreat. Lightweight and easy to assemble and excellent picture quality. Can't wait to try it out in the field.
Product works as advertised. Very fast writes.
So far I have shot about 2 hours with of video with this Monitor. It does get loose by itself after a while but that is expected. For the price, this monitor goes above and beyond for me. I caught this on a day that it was on sale so even better! The screen is bright enough and the audio gets really loud. I work freelance with a construction company, and there is no issue what so ever when I am using it. Great purchase, I hope to get a gimbal system soon (Ronin) and attach it to that too.
Better picture than I expected. Works with Sony cam batteries, a plus. Not too much quality of construction. I have it in a hard case when not on the cam, hoping to keep it working for years to come.
delivered as expected. thank you Teodor S.
This is an excellent little monitor - especially considering the price. Using the Sony batteries was a big plus for me since I have quite a few, and I found that the smaller M-series batteries that I still have from an ancient DV camera also work! While it loses a * for not being 1920x1080 it does have a P2P mode which displays actual pixels (though obviously not the whole frame at once)
Using this for a studio shoot and so far, so good. Solid features and pretty incredible price.

Relatively inexpensive tool that make filming on an SLR much better. So much easier to get focus right.
This product would receive a 5-star rating, except that there is no power pack OR battery provided in the package and the notice that it comes with neither is the last line of the overview, which is easily overlooked.

Bought this product to help with focus/color/composition in the field. Works great. But, don't forget the battery.
Great price and works great. No issues at all.
Great product! Small affordable monitor to see my pretty self with! Happy!
I use this monitor with my DSLR for video filming in an indoor studio set. I was previously using a 5 inch, which I felt was just a bit too small. I film a moving subject with a macro lens, so focusing is critical, and this monitor really helps as it is sharp, and the size is perfect for critical focusing. The color is not the greatest - too blue, but you can compensate with the RGB controls. I don't grade with this monitor - so it's no big deal. I am very satisfied.
I just bought an A7s ii with a rig, mattebox, filters, Rokinon 4 lens bundle and a couple of other accessories so I didn't have a bunch of money left to spend on one of the nicer monitors on the market, yet with this camera I found a monitor to be completely necessary. Normally I would wait until I could afford to buy a really solid product but this was so cheap there is really no downside. Even if I end up getting another monitor or recorder at some point I won't have wasted much money plus I'll have a really solid second monitor which could be nice for clients or director etc. The picture is large and bright and easy to see even outdoors in the sun. I found the color easy to adjust to match the LCD screen on the camera. Unfortunately it doesn't come with any scopes to aid with exposure. That was my main hangup when I was deciding to buy it. However that downside is more than fairly reflected in the price and I decided that I can live without those tools for now, until I can afford a better monitor. One tool that this monitor does have that I find very nice is the focus peaking. It works pretty well and gives you a solid idea of where the peak focus is. If I had a shot with a tricky pull I would definitely use the peaking. The downside to that is I wouldn't turn the peaking tool on and off during a shot because pressing the buttons on the monitor makes a very loud clicking sound no matter how subtly you try to press them. It's just a bit plasticky and cheap in that regard. Another thing that is plasticky and cheap is the hot shoe mount that this comes with. Mine came loose on me twice and slid off. This can be very bad as the monitor can fall and hit my lens (which is a far more expensive and important piece) or it can fall and yank on the HDMI cable that it's attached to the camera with and potentially damage the camera's HDMI port. Which would mean I would need to send my camera away and pay for a repair. Instead I now use an articulating arm to attach this monitor to the cage that I use with my camera. One other strange thing is that this camera has audio outputting internally. When I first plugged it in and turned it on it gave me earsplitting feedback. I recommend turning the volume all the way down and leaving it that way. Overall this thing gives a really good image for a small monitor which is super helpful. It does have a few downsides but I can live it. Unless this thing stops working completely within a year I am very happy with my purchase.
Product was great! Works perfect with my Nikon D7100 and the resolution is flawless. Perfect for anyone that is a beginner videographer.
I use a 7Q+ when I need to record 4k, which is rare, and I got tired to carrying around an expensive monitor when I didn't need the 4k. The FeelWorld is very sharp and bright. It's missing most of the frills you'd find with an expensive monitor, but if all you need to do is to better view your video for focusing and composition, this is perfect. The price is great and the build is solid enough.
Using with Nikon d7100 and it works like a charm. The image is very sharp (for 720p) and bright, and the monitor is very light. Although once you add a battery to it (sold separately) it doubles in weight at least. The 2.35:1 crop lines are EXTREMELY helpful (why these aren't an option on more cameras is still a mystery to me). Plus the focus assist works great, as well as the freeze frame option AND the option to mirror screen or flip it upside down, in case you need to mount your monitor in an atypical configuration.. Great equipment at a great cost. I will say there are some hidden costs: In addition to buying this monitor I also had to buy a battery, a charger for that battery, and an israeli arm...
Great size monitor. Works well with my D4S. Gives a clear image for sharp videos. I found a two legged flex clamp to work the best in attaching this monitor to my video tripod head vs the camera hot shoe.
Works good, will know more about performance with time.
as an older photog the rear of the camera screen is just not hacking it this monitor is SUPER TACK SHARP and BRIGHT with the HDMI connection cable it can see what the heck i am getting in the camera it is a god send
As far as the display goes it's great. it's an IPS so viewing angles are excellent, its big (and light), its bright and accepts 24/30/60 fps. No guides, peaking, etc that more expensive monitor have but I get by using the cameras controls for that. Its a good no frills display
I never thought I could get a field monitor for this price. This thing rocks.
I absolutely love the quality you get for the price. But I was very disappointed when i realised it came without the battery and without a charger. Ok it was my fault as it was clearly stated that it is not included so, my bad. But I highly recommend the monitor!
Nice image. Very affordable. Lots of menu adjustments to fine tune image. It took only minutes to set it up almost identically to match my camera LCD settings. Focus check feature is a plus, but be aware it displays in monochrome when selected. Comes with HDMI bracket attachment to relieve cable stress, which works ok, but I would suggest purchasing an HDMI right angle adapter so the cable hangs down rather than straight out. As others have said, it does not come with a power supply or batteries.
Great product for the price. If you're looking for a high quality HD screen and don't want to spend upwards ot $1,000 then this is it.
This is an amazing monitor for the price! It really helped me during my last gig to take better videos. I was able to clearly see my mistakes while filming and I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone interested in purchasing it!
Well designed and light. Wish it had better resolution. The 760 has full 1080p. It's more crisp.
Love the size and the picture just wish it came with a case to store it away.
For the price you can not go wrong, I bought this to use with my BMPCC mounted on a ronin-m and couldn't be more happy with it. The slim design makes it great for mounting, and the focus peaking helps a lot with focusing while fixed on the ronin. Price can not be beat, dont forget to order batteries I grabbed some off brand sony f970's. I dont know how long the batteries last, but it has never died. I filmed for a couple hours straight.
With the price being so low compared to some of the other options, I was a little nervous for this monitor especially since the first time we were able to test it was when we needed it for a professional shoot. The monitor really surpassed our expectations - and you really can't go wrong at this price. One thing to really note is that this does not come with a battery, so you will need to purchase a separate battery. The sony F970 I believe was the battery model needed, but we went with the less expensive watson battery and that worked out fine. Don't forget you'll also need the battery charger if you don't have one already.
For framing shots and marking the safe areas, this monitor is quite good. It also has a focus function, which may prove to be useful. The monitor appears well made: the fit and finish are quite good. It is easy to use for its basic functions, and a small user guide provides info on more sophisticated functions. I recommend it.
Works great with my Panasonic Gh4, at 4k resolution.
I just used this monitor only 2 days. What I see ? The monitor have great pictures ,easy to use, colors are wonderful and very bright.I hope it will last longer than my previous Aputure monitor (the one has die just after a few time of use ...)Cheap one but very good.
I picked this up for an indie shoot when the DSLR screen just wasn't cutting it for focus, and I wasn't disappointed. Clear, bright screen and fairly easy to use menu. It seemed to drain the batteries fairly quickly, but as my charger died I couldnt' tell you for sure...I'll update as soon as my new charger comes. It lacks some of the features of the much more expensive monitors, but for this price I can't complain. Only downsides I noticed: when flipping the image based on your mounting preference, the menus do not flip, focus mode wasn't really helpful in that it changed the colors of the image, not a simple overlay.
